We stayed in cervinia and paid 70 euro extra for one week to be able to ski in zermatt Once we arrived at just 5 minutes after closure time which indeed was very rarly at 1545 and the guard at the lift quene refused to let us in although the lift was still running. He allowed those who lived in the swiss side to enter it buy not us living on the italian side. He was very rude and instead of helping he even insulted us saying "haha you didn't come in time,now you can take a taxi for 800 euros or a train for 400 euros or a helicopter. Apart from this horroble experience the food is brutally expensive. Only a 0.5 literbottle of water cost 7 euros!!! A steak 40 euros!!! More than twice the prices in cervinia. And you must pay with card. If you pay with euro, they first take expensive fee then give you tbe change back in swiss franks which you have no use for. Another bad thing, since switzerland is not in the european union, you can not use mobile data there. So if you are lost there and you need your phone to search information about hotels etc, you can not use your internet. Shame on you switzerland!!! Never ever I will put my foot back in switzerland again.
