Fantastisk längdskidåkning och alpin skidåkning i Raudalen. Möjlighet att åka offpist i Jotunheimen och randonee-skidåkning till närliggande toppar direkt från byn - unikt

Tillbaka till Beitostolen igen från att ha bott i Storbritannien. Fantastiska familjeresorter, perfekta för barn och nybörjare, mycket vänlig personal som alla talar engelska, liten skidskola. Nästan inga köer alls i backarna och backarna är superbt preparerade. Och det går ungefär ski in och ut. 2 minuters promenad från Gjestegaarden till backarna. Hyrskidor och pjäxor av god kvalitet. Massor av trevliga aktiviteter att göra efter skidåkningen, som huskyridning, längdskidåkning, ridning och tubing. Vi kommer tillbaka igen.

Utmärkta längdskidspår med effektiv preparering som kan följas på Skiorets webbplats. Spåren är ganska utmanande, med täta omstarter och betydande gupp. Bra höjdskillnader, få plana partier. Området är vidsträckt, men det är svårt att avvika från de vanliga slingorna, eftersom det kräver mycket god kondition att ge sig ut mot Yddin eller till och med Rogne.

Vi har været her i uge 1. Hele tiden problemer med lifterne, og lukkede lifter. Selvom lifterne skulle være åbent 10-15:30 åbnede de typisk først kl 10:15 el. senere. Der er eksempelvis ikke puder langs stolperne ved tallerkenliftene, og flere af lifterne drypper olie. Ok hvis man er helt begynder men ikke noget at råbe hurra over. Det skal desuden bemærkes at stoleliften ved “Raudalen” er lukket.

En mysig by som jag besökt sedan mitten på 70-talet åtskilliga gånger. Det har byggts många nya bäddar, men det ynkligt lilla lift systemet är i stort sätt oförändrat, här behövs satsas stort om ortens populäritet skall fortsätta.

We (mum,dad and two teenage boys) first went to Beitostolen in January 2016 then feb 2017 skiing and also in the summer of 2017. The town is stunning in winter and summer with excellent restaurants, cafes, super markets. We have stayed in the the bergo cabins and the hovis and found them excellent you can also go swimming in the Radisson blu hotel. The locals are helpful and friendly. The skiing is lovely with good slopes, plenty of snow and there is no queuing at the lifts. Beito-aktiv have great activities to pick from and I would highly recommend. We are heading back in feb 2018 and so far they have had plenty of snow. We stayed over the Christmas break at the Radisson blu in Beitostolen. Second time we have visited this resort, we came back because we loved the family friendly feel of this resort. Lots to do as well as skiing for that complete winter holiday, we enjoyed ice fishing an evening meal fireside in a Tepee, airboarding (sliding down the slopes on a inflatable board). The centre of the resort is compact and our hotel was under 100m to the lifts and shops. By the second day our kids 10 & 13 were out skiing by themselves (most of the ruins end up straight outside the hotel) We were half board and the food was excellent, it was a set menu and there was a kids option. If your after 100s of miles of hard core runs and thumping discos this isn't the place for you. But if you have a family learning to ski or just wanting a winter experience think you will like this place. The runs are not miles and miles long but on the other hand we didn't have to stand in lines at all!
