Pistkarta för Ruka
Ruka offers 42 pistes across 50 ha, with about 20 km of skiable terrain. The area is compact and easy to understand, which makes it comfortable for families and mixed groups.
Beginners have a smaller share of the terrain, but the clear resort layout helps progression. Start on the easiest slopes before moving gradually into longer pistes.
Intermediate skiers have the strongest selection, with 43% of the pistes. These runs are good for carving, confidence building and relaxed laps in cold snow conditions.
Advanced skiers get 34% of the terrain, giving Ruka a sporty side. The 201 m vertical drop keeps the runs relatively short, but makes repeat laps quick and efficient.
Expert skiers can use the 21% expert terrain when conditions are firm and visibility is good. It is best suited to confident resort skiers rather than big-mountain expectations.
Freestyle is a major part of Ruka, with 3 parks, 1 pipe, 1 tubing lane and 12 park rails. This gives snowboarders, freeskiers and families extra variety beyond standard piste skiing.
