Viss förbättring sedan Vail tog över, men snötillverkning, preparering och antalet öppna spår har försämrats sedan Vail. Deras teori verkar vara att vi ger mindre, får det att låta som mer och hoppas att alla så småningom glömmer vad de hade förut. Insiders säger att Hunter är Vails mest lönsamma enhet på östkusten (jag är inte säker på exakt hur de kom fram till det, men bergen får verkligen massor av skidåkare). Hur som helst tjänar Vail pengar på Hunter medan upplevelsen försämras. Inte längre snötillverkningshuvudstaden i öst.

Riktigt trevlig resort! Nybörjarvänlig med bra medelsvår terräng. Avancerad är också trevligt, men som 12-åring kunde jag åka allt som var öppet, inklusive dubbel-svarta pister på Hunter West, så om du letar efter en riktigt svår utmaning kanske det här inte är resorten för dig. Men trevlig personal, bra snötillverkning och överlag en riktigt trevlig resort!

Total fiasko sedan Vail Corp köpte upp det. Andelen öppen terräng den här säsongen var den lägsta någonsin. Det verkar som att de nya företagsägarna bara vill suga ut allt de kan ur berget och inte investera något i att driva eller förbättra det för skidåkning. Helt och hållet fastighetsknep!

While I had lots of fun, I was in tremendous pain during and after skiing. It wasn’t until after I visited another resort and was given proper instruction & guidance in regards to my rentals, that I realized this place really let me down. I paid a fortune to rent skis, all they did was pick a pair from the shelf after stating my shoe size and had me put them on. No one told me how to put them on properly, how tight/loose to make them, how they are supposed to feel, how to take them off. Employees were chatting while i was struggling to take off my boots, no one offered to show me how. After visiting Okemo, someone measured my foot, and informed me that my rentals at Hunter were an entire size too big causing weight shifts in my feet while skiing, resulting in my extreme pain (which caused a slight meniscus tear). Apparently an extreme no no in the ski world. As a beginner, this needs to change and staff needs to do better. I am lucky that i didnt further injure myself due to the lack of care and education by the Hunter mountain team.

The snow was decent though suffering from a heat wave but I wont hold that against them. My only real issue is the price. I nearly went to another mountain but that was the same price for half the mountain. Meanwhile you are charging nearly the same rates as Zermatt for 18% of the mountain. You have employees doing unnecessary work further wasting money. One person is physically scanning passes when most places use a RFID turnstyle while another employee is holding the chair to steady it. That is on top of having someone sit in the booth for emergency which makes sense. Terrain park was decent, food was overpriced. Staff was cheerful. You're numbered gate for rentals is annoying as well, making me move to multiple stalls is dumb when you could have one person getting me squared away.

Disappointed, wanted to get a gift card, order it over the phone but charge a fee of $4.95 to do that. Seems wrong. We all know it doesn't cost that to mail a gift card.

1. Lifts are open at 8 but you can’t pickup you on line purchased tickets before 8. 2. Lodge is closed before 8. 3. Many lifts and runs are not open 4not enough snow is made and runs becoicy very quickly ( even after snow storm) 5 cup of hot water is 3.5$ really !!!

Skiing and snowboarding here for 40 years. Vail just isn't making the snow that the previous owners did. Sold a ton of season passes and not opening lifts and terrain. Very disappointed.

Horrible parking situation and they are the cheapest people you’ll meet. They don’t groom any trails and the parking lot is a disaster. They didn’t even plow or salt on a holiday weekend. It was laughable how bad this place was
